I am very sorry to share that due to low raffle ticket sales, Jeff Gordon Chevrolet and The CARE Project have decided that it is necessary to cancel the raffle. We are grateful to Jeff Gordan Chevrolet for their participation in the fundraising endeavor but recognize that low ticket sales do not allow for sufficient funds to be raised to both cover the costs of the vehicle and for proceeds to be donated to the Care Project. Thus, we are regrettably invoking the option to cancel the raffle, as provided in the raffle rules.
We would like to offer each raffle ticket purchaser the following options:
Receive a full refund.
Trade your raffle ticket for a ticket to the 10th Anniversary Gala on February 8, 2020, in Wilmington, NC. You can use the ticket yourself or transfer it to anyone else.
Donate the amount spent on raffle tickets to The CARE Project and receive a letter for your 2019 tax return.
Please email Lara Pike at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to trade your raffle ticket for a Gala ticket or if you would like to donate the amount of your raffle ticket to the Care Project. If we have not heard from you by January 24, 2020, we will refund your raffle ticket purchase by sending a check to the address submitted at the time of purchase.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you and please know that this decision was not what we had hoped for. On behalf of the Care Project, I want you to know that I sincerely appreciate your past and continued support for The CARE Project’s work in providing emotional counseling opportunities through weekend family retreats for families with children who are deaf and hard of hearing. The Care Project is only able to do this work because of you. We will continue to search for viable fund-raising options to accomplish our vision to provide a permanent home for Care Project retreats, including accommodations for families who travel to attend the retreat.
